Jornada de trabajo en el club
Los planes que teníamos para hoy consistían en bajar la antena monobanda para 10M del LU4DRC a eso de las 9:00, repararla y volver a montarla en el mismo día o como mucho mañana. La reparación incluía cambio de la alimentación (ahora es cable de cobre y le vamos a poner de aluminio), los tornillos con los que se agarraba a cada elemento de la celda (cambiarlos por una soldadura o remaches de aluminio) y un par de abrazaderas que en la subida anterior (más de seis años atrás) a falta de repuestos fueron reemplazadas por un par de vueltas con alambre.
La idea de bajar la antena a la mañana fue truncada por el mal clima, ya una seguidilla de “nubes pasajeras” se encargaron de confinarnos a Guillermo LW1EXU y a mí a tomar mate en casa a la espera de un mejor momento para la operación.
Afortunadamente, a la tarde el sol se dejó ver y tras conseguir la ayuda de Javier LU4EJS pudimos encarar para el club con las herramientas necesarias para (por lo menos hoy) bajar la antena y dejársela lista a Sergio LU9DYA para que se encargue de las soldaduras frías entre el cable de aluminio y los elementos.
El procedimiento de bajada fue todo un éxito, ya que para la bajada de semejante antena (más grandota que pesada) organizamos una “cama” con dos sogas (una punta de las dos sogas anudada a la torre y la otra sostenida por Javier y por mí, a una distancia de aproximadamente tres metros de separación) mientras Guillermo desde arriba de la torre la bajaba con la ayuda de otra soga. El sol a modo de vendetta por la mañana lluviosa se mostraba en todo su esplendor (la bajada la comenzamos a las 17:00) así que al rato de estar mirando para arriba y al aluminio ya ninguno de los tres sabía ni siquiera si es que la antena ya en qué estado estaba bajando. Afortunadamente para esta etapa de la bajada contamos con la colaboración de Sebastián (la licencia se las debo) quien a grito pelado nos iba guiando sobre si incrementar o aflojar la tensión de las sogas para evitar que la antena previa vuelta de campana termine en el suelo.
Con la antena en el suelo y Guillermo ya en tierra firme, tras el mate de rigor para celebrar el éxito del operativo (o por lo menos esta primer etapa) y el aviso por repetidora de la tarea cumplida, nos retiramos a las casas a prepararnos para participar a la noche de la competencia de Fonía que organiza el GACW .
